BSIS Certified Instruction!
The Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA) and the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) has full jurisdiction over the private security industry which includes but is not limited to training requirements and policy enforcement.
Are you in Compliance?
Before beginning your new career as a Security Officer, you must be permitted by BSIS to work as a private patrol or propriety security guard and must complete the required training.
Business and Professions Code Section 7583.6 (b) A person registered (as a Security Officer) pursuant to this chapter shall complete not less than 32 hours of training (by a Certified Instructor) in security officer skills within six months from the date the registration card is issued.
